Draughtsman Civil
Draughtsman Civil Trade :
It is an Engineering Trade.
i. Basic Qualification : Passed Matriculation or 10th examination under 10+2 system with science & mathemtics or its equivalent.
ii. Certification : State Council of Vocational Training ( SCVT ).
iii. Duration of Course : 2 Years, Full Time.
vi. Subject to be Studied during training course :
1. Draughtsman Civil Trade Theory.
2. Draughtsman Civil Trade Practical.
3. Employability Skills.
4. IT Literacy.
5. Workshop Calculation & Science
ii. Skills acquired on completion :
On completion of the course the trainee shall have through knowledge of, Planning, drawing, design, estimating, and costing of civil work. Drawing plans by using AutoCAD. Making of computer model’s of civil work. Giving lineout at site, supervision of work etc.
iii. Options for employment :
Employment opportunities for trainee from this trade shall be available in State Government Departments as a Draughtsman or Surveyor or Railways. Private sector opportunities shall be as Draughtsman, Construction Supervisor with Architect, Civil Engineer and Civil Contractor
iv. Options for self-employment :
He shall independently undertake planning, drawing, estimation & costing and supervision of civil construction work. He can set up his own shop to supply Civil Construction materials. He can set CAD drawing centre.
